Drawing for a Cause
The purpose of this project is to exemplify the fact that humans depend on insects and they should be respected and protected. The moth is based off of a Kern primrose sphinx moth, which is endangered and only exists in two small parts of California, one of which is San Louis Obispo. The landscape is based off the green hills of San Louis Obispo, and the flower in the foreground is a desert columbine, which can also be found in the area. The human and moth mimic each other's forms to show how intertwined the lives of humans and insects are.
